It can be a real challenge to step out from your comfort zone. I've come to find when you do this, it opens doors and provides opportunities to make real connections with people. If we could take a break from the competitiveness of Nursing school, and allow ourselves to be open and supportive for each other…there is this huge opportunity staring us in the face. If we have this mindset of togetherness and positivity, this is what makes us bolder and stronger.
I'm excited about what the future holds for you and I want to create a way through convention to help you to find the confidence and clarity to reach your goals in the Nursing profession.
Encouraging nursing students to voice their passions to further promote the image of FNSA by providing more resources and vendors at next year's convention.
Kathryn Barrows is a senior nursing student at Adventist University of Health Science. She is running for the 2nd Vice President position on the Florida Nursing Student's Association executive board. With a positive outlook, passion, and professionalism, Kathryn intends to bridge the gap between nursing students across the state and the resources available to the FSNA. She believes there is great strength and vulnerability in recognizing we all have some long-term tenderness for something that has lead us to chose Nursing as a profession. Kathryn wants to encourage nursing students to voice their passions to further promote the image of Florida Student Nursing Association by providing more resources and vendors at the 2017 convention that will help students grow as leaders
